Produced by Momina Duraid Productions, written by the established screen writer Farhat Ishtiaq, and directed by Haseeb Hassan. The pre-release promotions initially built hype, but later became tedious when multiple trailers and songs were released. Some people even argued that the film wasn’t worth watching, as the plot had already become obvious.
However, the film managed to maintain the interest of the audience throughout, building on a strong storyline. One of the main characters Sania (Hania Amir), is a fighter pilot in-training at the Pakistan Air Force Academy, and remains a constant feature of the film. As the back-story and current story unfold on parallel timelines, she goes from being a girl who was afraid of flying on an airplane to becoming a high achieving fighter pilot, all due to the passion she sees in courageous fighter pilot Hamza (Hamza Ali Abbasi), who is willing to sacrifice his life for the country. While their association is one part of the story, Sania's dislike for Saad (Ahad Raza Mir) is another aspect. Saad is the son of a high ranking air force officer, who aims to outdo everyone through his actions. The film finds a balance between lighter scenes in the first half, with the wedding of Nadir (Shaz Khan) and Fizza (Kubra Khan), and more intense scenes in the latter, including a portrayal of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Overall, the film gives us an insight into the life and training of a fighter pilot, including the challenges that they face.
Each character was dynamic and well-developed, and the audience was able to form an emotional connection with them as the plot unfolded. The different shades to Sania’s character ensured that Hania Amir was able to show her versatility as an actress. Hamza Ali Abbasi brought a lot of energy to his scenes, playing his role with full conviction. Ahad Raza Mir also did justice to his role, even though he’s not a likeable character to begin with.
