Youlinmagazine.com completed 10 years of publication on the 9th of July, 2022. Youlin is the only bilingual website both in English and Chinese, which aims to foster better relations and mutual understanding between the two brotherly nations. Youlin is a cultural website of the the Pakistan-China Institute (PCI), Islamabad, which aims to foster people-to-people understanding. It publishes articles on culture, sports, food, dramas, theatre, films, history, environment, literature, architecture, travel and philanthropic activities.

With the advent of China as an emerging global power and the stellar success of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), China-Pakistan relations have acquired further depth. Youlin Magazine is a trailblazer in this regard as it tries to create a better understanding between two diverse cultures and peoples. Youlin is the only publication in Pakistan, which is bilingual, and published both in English and Chinese. Youlin articles are a good source for the Chinese readership to understand Pakistani culture, and Pakistanis to get exposure to Chinese culture, cuisine and history.

Youlin publishes articles on Chinese history, architecture, cultural events, food, mythologies, and historical places. Youlin has published hundreds of articles on China so far, particularly on the Xinjiang province. Famous Youlin articles on Xinjiang include ‘The Kazakhs of Xinjiang’, ‘The Mongolians of Xinjiang’, ‘The Beverages of Xinjiang’ and ‘The Tajiks of Xinjiang’ amongst others. There have been numerous articles on the different parts and aspects of the Silk Route, as well as on the various Chinese days of celebration and feasts, and some of its interesting historical cities and archaeological sites.

Youlin's readership is not only confined to Pakistan and China, but it is now being read widely across the globe, in different continents, including in the USA, UK, India, UAE, Canada and Australia. The increase in Youlin's readership over the years has been spectacular. When the Youlin website was established in June 2012, its readership began with only about a thousand, but in ten years it has increased to over a whopping hundred and fifty thousand.

Youlinmagazine.com has created a significant presence for itself as a source of information and insights into the changing and dynamic cultures of Pakistan and China. With the passage of time, its readership will only grow, as will its impact and its significant role as a bridge of understanding between the two ‘Iron Brothers’, Pakistan and China.
